I have a turtle that I have had for over 10 years with no problems. I decided to save some money and try this bulb out by comparing it to the $60+ bulbs I see at our local pet stores. My turtle was very ill for several weeks with symptoms leading me to believe it was the source of the light. I had to put it in dry dock for a while. He's mostly recovered now and I'm using a more expensive UVA/UVB lamp that I bought from a pet store specifically for reptiles. He's heating up a lot more often after switching to a lightbulb from the pet store and has become more active again. I can't say with 100% certainty that it was the lightbulb, but my pet's health problems started after I used the lightbulb and seem to end after I switched to a different lightbulb.
