I tried to follow the instructions but they didn't seem very clear or what I interpreted and applied didn't work. Maybe you feel the same way? Rschunimagu. So I uploaded pictures of what worked for me. The photo collage starts from top left to right. Screwing the nut onto the socket didn't work for me. So I just hung the nut on the ball joint and tilted it so the nut was dangling against the support. Then I lined up the ball joint and nut with the bushing (hole) and pushed and it snapped into place immediately. Finally I tightened the nut. I needed this item for an LED ring light that came with a smartphone and camera mount. , but not with the iPad attachment. Now I have all 3. :-) I hope the photos and info helped!
