TLDR Good screen, poorly tuned in terms of connectivity, no pixel issues (dead/stuck), minimal bleeding. The color is what I would expect even from high-end IPS. I think you have to reach level 700 to really get better. A clear comparison is lg as the only one I see in this price range for UHD IPS at the moment. I just want to clarify that the money went to the panel not the stand. The set up, image and stand are excellent. I like the external power supply. This is a point of failure that is easy to fix if necessary. The stand is made entirely of metal. What I don't like is that it's only a 1.2 displayport, making it impossible to use 10bit and hdr at the same time. You really only need HDR if you watch a lot of movies/games. I prefer 10-bit for static content with fewer bands. I have to deduct a star for that. Displayport 1.4 is exactly what you need for an HDR monitor. HDMI 2.0 has no bandwidth for HDR and 10-bit. Basically it's a little misleading and a little crazy because the panel is really good. it is constrained by the connection. I'm assuming this is due to a lack of components, although I see the 28 inch monitor they sell has similar specs. This is an odd choice. I'll keep it because I don't play/watch much on my computer and I'm fine with 10-bit for normal use. FYI I also bought from HP and got a 3 year warranty.

Pros
  • Resolution: 4K UHD (3840x2160)
Cons
  • No paint required
