This pump is a monster. I bought a 1 1/2 hose for the drain. I tried it first with a 5 gallon bucket and it was done in seconds. I put it in place to remove water from around the house. He moved all the water in 12 minutes including 3 times while I was waiting for more water. You have to be close to the fork to stop it because it's pumping so fast. (Not required if a float is used). I had a problem when assembling it: the steps weren't cut straight. If it hadn't been for heavy rain I would have returned for a replacement. I deduct a star for that. Luckily the hose got clogged and the pump started working. You can see before and after photos. (For some reason the images are not loading). I strongly recommend a supply pump provided the connection between pump and thread is leak free.
