Review on NICREW Mini Aquarium Clip-On Light: Ultra-Bright and Stable COB LED for Small Planted Fish Tanks - 7000K, 10W by Amy Brown

This is a review of the NICREW Mini Aquarium Clip-On Light, a small aquarium LED plant clip light, super bright and stable COB 7000K 10W LED, which cost $21.95 at the time of review. I'm a low tech tank man. I have several aquariums including the one I bought this lantern for, which is a 4.12 gallon low iron Aquatop glass cube, with guppy grass, java fern, underwater thang, anubias, ludwigia superred, red needle leaf, and small alternathera reineckii (Residents are 9 CPD + 1 fry, nerite and a few razor snails). Before I got this light I used what I had on hand and it was far from perfect. I even used 2 headlights but to no avail and the bulbs illuminated the tank with an ugly blue light - the tank looked awful and difficult to access for maintenance. I thought what do I have to lose with this? I've been using it for a month and am very impressed. The clamp is adjustable to fit most tanks, especially rimless or very small tanks. You can move the lamp arm up and down, and the clamp shaft is fully adjustable for easy access. It's a simple light so don't expect anything fancy, it has a built in on/off switch with a USB plug and that's it (works for me) so I set mine up with the old plug in a manual timer. What makes it GOOD, and maybe even too good for some, is that it shines like the sun (an exaggeration, but it's my brightest light by far) and there's no adjustment to the light you get. My plants loved it and the colors are so much better than the two old LED bulbs. I've had really good growth and even got some duckweed that I didn't even know I had in that tank (probably came from Monte Carlo, yes I know we don't all want those duckweed so I'm keeping them little dampened). I really like the light and would definitely recommend it to inexperienced tankers like me.
