Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Sony Cybershot DSCT300/B 10.1MP Digital Camera: Stunning Black Design with 5x Optical Zoom & Super Steady Shot by Melissa Jones

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The old model is good, only works with a Pro Duo Stick but not with SD cards and a special Sony battery

This model, the T300, really had a lot of good features when I got it . I've noticed some jitter (described by others), but that's because a lot of the AUTO settings are set on the camera and in the camera brain. Once some features are disabled, the tremor goes away and never returns. Hence, it is instruction overloading that causes this widespread problem. Sony should just fix the problem (like I did) and contact the registered owners of this simple fix. If you can get this model at a good price and make sure you get a Pro Duo Stick for shooting movies and photos, that's really good (the older model in Sony's excellent line of thin compacts). Generally a good camera, solid build, metal body and mounting. The photos are superb and this model offers many other modern features. The camera starts itching and vibrating uncontrollably from time to time. Contacted Sony and they said they weren't aware of it (which is nonsense) as I've read that a lot of people have this problem, as does the DSC-T20 or TX20. Well you win and you lose. In the end it was a loss. But the BEST of the DSC series is the DSC-TX55, the smallest and most compact with very good specs, and the TX-7 is a great camera.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some bugs
