I love that companies are doing their share to help reduce plastic waste. I know some people will find the process inconvenient but it's really not. It is incredibly quick and easy!While I do appreciate the concept and feel good knowing that I am helping to cut down on plastic waste, this is something you would need to use for some time to make any real difference. The pump and refill containers are all plastic. They are recyclable which is fantastic!We have extremely hard water so I opted to use filtered water instead of tap water. I am sure you can use hard water but you may not get much lather in your body wash. I filled the pump dispenser with some water first (a little less than half way), then screw on the Dove refill allowing the concentrate to pour into the bottle. Once it's empty, I fill the refill with a little water and swish it around to catch any remaining concentrate and pour into the dispenser bottle. I replace the pump and shake. IMO, you get a better mix if you do it this way instead of waiting until it's completely filled to shake. Once mixed, I add in the remaining water.The end result isn't super watery like I was expecting. It isn't thick and creamy like the original Dove body wash. It has more of a gel like consistency but doesn't run all over the place like a liquidy foaming hand soap or anything.It lathers up fairly well. Again, it isn't the same as the original Dove body wash. The lather isn't as plentiful or as rich and creamy. It still cleans my skin well and smells very fresh and clean!Overall, I love the environmental friendliness of this product but still prefer the original product.
