This backpack has 3 compartments, the largest of which is just behind the back and will hold a 17-18" laptop, the middle compartment will hold a a 15-16 inch laptop and a third The front compartment can accommodate a 13-14 inch laptop or a tablet. I really like this backpack as I can take my employer's 16 inch HP Elitebook laptop workstation to the office, a thick and heavy first generation machine, my personal 15 inch Lenovo P51 workstation laptop , and I can still fit my tablet in the first compartment. Now I no longer have to take the ThinkTank V3 Intelligence 17" laptop bag to the office just for my personal Lenovo P51.
