The first mask I ordered was defective. I paid for it with a respiratory infection. I disassembled it to see if there is a fix for this, but there isn't. The valve that needs to close when you inhale to force air through the filters only closes when you breathe very aggressively. Normal breathing simply lets in completely unfiltered air. I sent the mask back and tested the second one and it has the exact same issue. I suspect that all of these masks will be the same and many people will rely on them, unaware of the harm they are doing to themselves. They should be removed from Revain immediately. The rest of the mask is fine, it fits comfortably and it's good to know that the eyes are protected. But a mask doesn't filter out harmful chemicals unless you're breathing heavily, so it's useless to me. The photos show the gap between the silicone valve and the seat.
