I bought this case for my MacBook Pro 2019 and it's great! Slim, smooth, shiny and a perfect fit. (I also bought a similar but slightly different cover for my wife's 2019 MacBook Air.) I'll admit that I read the instructions (!) and made sure to align the cover correctly when attaching the cover, but once installed it works like a dream. There are NO obstacles between the top and bottom and the computer opens easily through its full range of motion. I politely assume that if someone is having trouble installing and opening their MacBook, or if the panels "fall off", the lid is probably not installed properly. I installed both lid panels in just 1-2 minutes - I believe it took longer to unroll the protective plastic shrink wrap than to install the lid. Highly recommended.
