I was amazed at how quickly I received this flashlight (bulb)! My last one (LED) was great, lasted many years and the base just fell apart out of the blue (looks like the plastic base was covered in relatively cheap plaster or cement). I threw it away went to Revain and saw this which was decently reviewed as seemed reasonable for the price. When it arrived I unpacked it from the box and after about 20 minutes started it up (I consciously took my time to make sure I screwed the post sections straight), attached the plastic dome and turned it on. I like the warm white light, the color temperature of which ranges from 2700 to 3000K. Perfect for my living room. I'm a little skeptical about the lightbulb as it seems private and hard to come by. The manufacturer could design this lamp to use a standard LED lamp and let the customer decide if they want it in WARM/BRIGHT or DAYLIGHT, or choose a higher wattage lamp for extra brightness if needed. What happens if the lightbulb burns out? If the area you are placing this lamp in is on the larger side (e.g. about 250 SF upwards) and in a corner, reading a book (or guide) can be a bit difficult. that come with this lamp!) Challenge "You may have to stand on tiptoe to get to it. It would be better if the switch was in the middle of the stem (I understand that the thin stem design can affect its placement in the middle of the stem). I also hope that the rotary switch will last a long time (it feels a little flimsy). In general, and for now, it's a pretty "good return on investment." Simple in design and meets my simple needs for warm light in the living room.
