Just received them just in time last night. They work as intended. Turn them on, light. Turn it off, darkness. I liked the ability to connect my smartphone as I use it as an alarm clock and work in an industry where I need to be "connected" 24/7. I don't like two things about them. The "slots" on the base of the phone lamp are too narrow. My cell phone is in a protective case. Due to the case, my phone does not fit in the slots. So I have a photo of my dog on one side and a photo of my parents on the other. Second, when they arrived the 'stem' wasn't 'rectangular' set with the base so they tilted. I just bent them into shape. It's okay, I just didn't want to break it. A bit pricey for what I have, but hey, that's the difference between light and dark, you know.
