This little watch would be perfect if it weren't for some difficult technical issues. I'm not an information technology expert, but I'm fairly familiar with home and hobby networks and other electronic devices. In short: when it worked, it was exactly what we were looking for. Our 10 year old daughter was able to walk around the neighborhood and contact us if her plans and activities changed. Telephoning worked well and the sound quality was acceptable for a device in this price range. The text capabilities on this device allow parents to send very short messages to the watch via the app interface and the watch can reply with a voice file and/or an image (the watch cannot reply with written text). Video calls are also done through the app and work quite well when they do, which is a lot less than 100% of the time. Four main disadvantages of this device: 1. Installation was difficult. I spent a few hours with T-Mobile tech support to get the device connected to the voice and data network. This device isn't part of T-Mobile's product line, but they were helpful enough to add it to their network and it took some time to find the right support rep and then experiment with different settings on the device. and on the T-Mobile setting. Eventually, the device landed on T-Mobile's network and displayed a strong signal and 4G data. 2. For some reason the cell phone function on the watch in my house doesn't work very often despite the 4G 4 bar signal indicator on the watch itself. I've tried Wi-Fi on and off, VOLTE on and off, two different APNs for the T-Mobile network, and all variations of the above combinations. Outside of my home cell phone calls to/from the watch seem to work for the most part, but at home it was about 99% useless for cell phone calls. The video chat feature worked intermittently at home (more reliable than cell phone calls, but not very reliable) and intermittently when away from home. 3. Battery life was good for our use. This went on for several hours while my daughter walked around the neighborhood calling us from time to time. However, connecting the charger to the device is a design flaw. Often put a charger on the watch and confirm that the screen says it's charging, only to come back in the morning and see a 1% or fully discharged battery in the phone. I've spent quite a bit of time aligning the charging points with the device and making sure it stays connected for more than a few minutes and was never able to get a satisfactory stable connection. 4. The last problem was with the support service. When reviewing questions and reviews, one could often see that the seller/manufacturer asked customers to contact support through Revain's Contact Seller Support. I spent some time with Revain tech support and finally got the email address of the seller of this device from them. I composed a lengthy email to include the device settings that were frequently requested by the seller in the question/review sections on their Revain product page and sent pictures of the device's status bar etc. It took me a few days to get a response . who gave no support or replies and instead asked me to contact them via WhatsApp. At this point I decided not to waste any more time and return the device and look for an alternative. Too bad, because this device checks all our ticks on paper. Unfortunately he lacked execution and support and I don't want to waste any more time hoping he will start working steadily. I'm writing this long review to help potential buyers and give feedback to the seller for future improvements.
