Review on ELK M1KP2 LCD Profile Keypad by Jordan Weakland

Used this to add a garage keyboard

I needed to add a garage keyboard for my Elk M1 Gold and used this. You can surface mount it, which has the advantage of having to drill a very small hole in the wall, or you can buy a flush mount kit, which means a larger hole in the wall but a cleaner installation. The surface mount is so flat it almost looks like a hidden mount. So far I have mounted one on-wall and the other flush-mounted. There are a few other keyboards for Elk - there's the older M1KP1, which I think looks a little clunky but has 6 function keys, and the M1KPAS, which is a smaller keyboard (fits on a decorative panel) but doesn't have an LCD Display has and fewer buttons. It has a chime that chimes to let you know the alarm needs to be disarmed, but it doesn't have a speaker for audio prompts. For sound, you can take the ELK SP12F speaker, remove it from the front and mount it just behind the keyboard.
