ELK M1KP2 LCD Profile Keypad Review

I needed to add a garage keyboard for my Elk M1 Gold and used this. You can surface mount it, which has the advantage of having to drill a very small hole in the wall, or you can buy a flush mount kit, which means a larger hole in the wall but a cleaner installation. The surface mount is so flat it almost looks like a hidden mount. So far I have mounted one on-wall and the other flush-mounted. There are a few other keyboards for Elk - there's the older M1KP1, which I think looks a little clunky

My review is on Elk products. In 2009 we needed a home automation system for a 6,500 square foot fully connected home. Literally every door and window has been pre-wired for alarms, and Category 5 wiring has been run throughout the house to support built-in cameras and other devices.
