Simply put, for my hair at least, this hair mask from Kristin Ess is a winner. I'm no snob when it comes to using salon hair products, but if you have dry, fine, naturally graying hair like me, the truth is I get better results with the best ingredients. To be honest, I didn't think this line from Christine Ess would justify paying twice as much, but it's amazing. Don't get me wrong, I'm by no means saying this mask is cheap, but compared to salon brands, it's an incredible value. Which brings me back to this mask. It's a thick, emollient, super creamy texture that's best described as rich and buttery smooth. It melts into my hair. A convenient pump bottle makes it easy to dose the right amount of mask with no waste. It has excellent glide that spreads easily throughout the hair and you will feel silky immediately after application and this softness will remain even after rinsing. The tangles just go away and my comb goes through my tangles like a hot knife through butter. Thanks to the mask's thick formula, you don't have to apply a lot. A pump or two was enough to completely cover my hair. I applied it to my freshly washed hair, left it on while showering and shaving my legs, then rinsed it off completely with cold water. I was pleased to see that my air dried hair looked shinier, softer and showed great curl definition. The texture of my dry hair was hydrated and elastic. The mask doesn't bother her. Yes, it's odorless, but for me that's a big plus. I don't miss any unnecessary ingredients that don't add real value to my hair. I also think it's great that there isn't a fragrance that competes with my personal fragrance, which I wear all the time. Also worth noting is how beautiful the bottles are, discreet and stylish. I have posted some photos to give you a better idea of the product and its consistency and I sincerely hope that along with my experience they will help. You're a little out of the way of deciding what's best for you. I know that not all hair formulas work the same for everyone, but I wholeheartedly recommend trying this mask.
