Convenient enough, multiple compartments fit both my 14.1 inch laptop and 10 inch tablet with chargers and other accessories like HDMI cables, flash drives, etc. I live in an area where summer temps easily top 95 so can't comment much on the mesh - I'd sweat with any backpack. But the straps are strong enough to support the weight of my books, laptop, stationery, and water bottle, so it's great! I like the small front pocket for things I can easily grab like keys or headphones, things I would need on the go when I already have stuff on hand. Didn't get a chance to try the USB port for the portable battery (not included) but I think it's a cool feature and one of the reasons I bought this case. The lock that comes with the backpack works well as long as there is no reason to use it. ; I figured it would be more useful in situations like traveling or when you need to leave your backpack at a public library while you go to the bathroom or something. But hey, a free lock - use it on your gym locker if needed. All in all a great heavy duty backpack with lots of different pockets of different sizes to make separating your items pretty easy and convenient. Exactly what I needed!
