Doesn't smell like the white copal I was hoping for

I have previously ordered white copal resin which can both be burned and infused into carrier oils. It smelled exactly how I was hoping for when I opened the box. It almost didn't smell when I opened the bag, maybe some mint. It smells nice when burned, but nowhere near the white copal I've had before. Today I mixed some jojoba oil with resin and it doesn't smell like anything I've made before. I'll still use it, but I'd rather order another one and just wait and mix it up to avoid wasting it.
