I have a herniated disc in my lower back which causes my glutes to tighten when they become inflamed. The stress ball is the only thing I've really found to untangle the knots and within 10-15 minutes I was feeling relieved. I also shared it with a few family members and they will buy it too because they can't believe how beautiful it is. My husband, on the other hand, didn't give the stress ball a chance and said the only thing that helped him was a massage. I keep telling him he's wrong. Personally, I don't like using it on my back because I think it feels too hard, but if you put a towel on your back, then a ball, and then lean against a wall, it's likely to get the "push." " take feeling. This is just my opinion; It looks like other reviewers found it worked well on the back. I think all physical therapists and chiropractors should teach their patients the stress ball!
