I think this is a great monitor for the money. I've had it for about 3 months now, it works via HDMI from my laptop. It worked well with my flight sim, it probably wouldn't be ideal for a hardcore gamer, but it will help you. I would definitely make this investment. I posted a video of my review showing the monitor playing full screen at 1440p from YouTube. It lagged a little when trying to keep up with 4k, but was flawless at 1440p.
