I'm using a Dell E6540 laptop and unfortunately this charger doesn't work well with it. The moment I plugged in the charger and booted up my laptop, I got a warning that it was a 60w charger and not 90w like the original charger. Can it be used to charge the E6500 laptop, yes, but only when the laptop is idle or powered off. Due to the lower performance, the laptop almost does not charge during use. The biggest problem is that if such a lower-power charger is connected to the laptop while it is running, it will actually lag behind the machine and reduce its performance. This is because the laptop is programmed and configured to perform better when connected to the network. However, that won't happen with this smaller capacity charger. The seller needs to amend the description and remove the E6500 series from the description to avoid enticing other buyers into buying this charger for their laptop.
