If you own a full-frame camera but are not willing to compromise on the size or quality of your zoom lenses, then this is the option for you: a staffer for every day that is bright, not too narrow, very lively, and has minimal distortion and sharpness. Even if you only shoot a minor event in your flat, it will always count as an additional one in the bag, even if it's only a still. On the other hand, if you already have a lens with a focal length of 35-50 millimeters, even if it isn't a USM lens, then I don't see why you would need this one either. It is also important to note that you will almost certainly require a second glass if you have a particular interest in shooting portraits, landscapes, sports, or any other specialized subject matter. I noticed one feature: even on the 6D, it appears to be quite harmonious in size; a sort of compact is obtained, and as a direct result of this, the attitude of others changes; there is no increased interest and stupid standard questions; you are removed from the category of "professional photographer." Naturally, if you take money, then this is a disadvantage (like a businessman in worn shoes), but taking non-staged images is a pleasure: to some extent, they do not pay attention to you, which eliminates the need for posing and any potential displeasure among the subjects. After using the lens for half a year, I would like to add the following: the autofocus does not result in any complaints, and the speed in practice turned out to be more than high due to tenacity. Additionally, a slight level of distortion places the lens head and shoulders above its 35 and 50 mm counterparts (according to reviews, almost twice), which is something that unfortunately cannot be said about aperture, which you frequently want more of. My favorite lens is one that lets you take pictures of a group of people as well as a facial portrait, but it requires you to have something quick on hand if you want to come up with any unique ideas. My 40 mm and 85 mm glasses will be obsolete if I don't upgrade to the Sigma 50/1.4 Art, but that's an entirely different story and price point. I applaud the engineers and marketers who worked on it, and I'm looking forward to it.
