This is a kind of switch on a regular USB stick, as it has both USB Type A and Type C connectors USB Type C. The downside of this is that the connector becomes "flipped" to reveal the alternative type, but the connector is not protected when using this design. I mistakenly thought it was a drive that protects its USB Type-A connector by folding it inward to hide it, but in this case it just exposes the Type-C connector with its metal cover, to accommodate everything that exists regarding electrostatic discharge. Despite this shortcoming, the drive is well made and quite compact (which is not an advantage if you lose it). Read speeds of up to 100MB/s are sufficient for most applications, and sizes are available to meet most portable storage needs.
