Update: Unfortunately had to deduct two stars. I have a longer version for a large tank I'm installing and it also has a crooked mount. The real problem, however, is that this lamp regularly loses power at the slightest provocation. Pressing a button, touching the power cord, a speck of dust falling on it, it all results in a power outage. This will remove all my personal settings and reset the time to 12:00. I once set it to gradually change the light intensity during an afternoon siesta, but now I'm not worried because it can lose its settings even without touching it. I like this ability for the first 24 hours of use. Set separate timers for day and night. This is usually an important monetary feature or adding accessories. I don't like that one of the metal hanger bars has a shorter lever on one side which makes the whole thing sit crooked and off balance. I think that sort of thing is the luck of the prank, and my prank was just a bad one.
