We bought this for our dog so he can get in the Christmas spirit with all of us. It suits her quite well and many people commented that she is cute in it. We can put it on pretty quickly. That's probably because she likes wearing a sweater (she's very accommodating when we put it on). We're assuming she likes wearing a sweater because it makes her feel more secure (that's our theory anyway). It also helps keep them warm. If we notice she's shaking, we put this on her and she stops shaking. Since our dog is 17 inches long and his chest is 22 inches, we bought the sweater in a 16 inch size. I wish it was tight on her but it still works. She walked in it a little awkwardly at first as the front holes didn't match her front legs perfectly, but she's got used to moving around in it now. The 14" might fit better, but I don't want to risk buying it only to find it's too small. In the end, we're glad we bought it.
