The product is sold in two versions: metal or non-metal. receive METAL. Attaching a cell phone to the lens requires some force, so make sure you get a metal phone! Attached is a picture from my phone mounted on a microscope. The microscope lens was too narrow to grab, so I added some bandages to give me something to hold on to. Aligning the phone wasn't easy, but it worked!
