My husband used it as a second screen for his work laptop. This is very convenient for him when entering billing data online, as well as when working with clients. When we first tried to set this up we had a little trouble understanding the instructions and getting it working. We're non-tech boomers, so computing stuff doesn't come naturally to us like it does to most young people. By trying and trying different connection options with different cables (included) we finally got it hooked up correctly and my husband was on his way to a dual screen laptop! The picture is very clear and sharp. This item is very useful. He can easily add it to his portfolio on the days he meets with clients, but mostly he uses it at home when entering his payment details, which can be slow and tedious, especially when entering data into an online form must be entered. but has to constantly switch to another screen for input. That second screen helps a lot as it has two full screen modes and no more swiping back and forth. The screen easily attaches to his laptop; It is adjustable to fit most laptop sizes. It mounts fairly securely, and a small kickstand (also adjustable) helps a bit. When he needs to remove the screen from his laptop, it's easy to do, then he just folds it back and stows it away. You can store it in the original cardboard packaging it came in, or as a space-saving option, the set comes with a velvet drawstring pouch that you can slip the screen into and then stow in a padded backpack, briefcase compartment, or one computer bag. Being able to connect this to a phone to have a bigger screen sounds like a great idea but we both have iPhones and at the moment iPhones only have a Lightning connector (there are no USB-C ports on iPhones yet) . For those who have a phone that works with this screen, it seems like a no-brainer if they want to use their phone to watch movies or videos on the big screen, or for those who need to use their phone locally. Laptop for work or school, at least as a last resort. Overall this is a great gadget that works very well for us and has a crystal clear picture. It is very convenient to have a dual screen laptop and it can be easily attached and detached as many times as needed.
