I was using a shared printer (HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401dne) connected to my Linux machine using a Windows machine. But for unknown reasons, my university recently started blocking the printer sharing communication channel. So I decided on a hardware solution and bought this product (EEEEKit Bundle for Printer Switch). The price for this was very reasonable. I would even say it was very cheap. Two USB cables were even included, as advertised. The switch was connected to the printer and two computers (one running Windows, one running Linux) were connected to the switch using the two supplied USB cables. That's all. I just have to click the appropriate button to select the computer I'm printing from. The response is very quick (less than a few seconds), contrary to some reviews, both on the Windows 10 side and on the Linux side. It works great. I can only recommend that.
