I switched from Keurig to this one because my coffee snob friends said the taste difference was remarkable. I like to control the strength and use the frother to heat the milk for cappuccinos. My husband wasn't a big coffee drinker, but now he drinks a double espresso every morning before a workout and doesn't get the jitters he gets with Keurig's pre-ground products. Don't be intimidated by all the buttons. It's very easy to use. When the warning lights flash the first few times, simply refer to the illustrations in the manual which show what to do when specific lights or combinations of lights are flashing. It will tell you exactly what to do like add water or empty coffee grounds or add coffee beans. Love it! Now I'm just trying to find great syrups to use with it. :-(
