You couldn't ask for a better coffee maker for the price. Each cup has a fresh taste. I would recommend above ground beans as they last a little longer and taste a little better. Not an intuitive machine to use, but once you read the instructions carefully and played around with it for a day or so, it becomes very easy to understand.

I am very happy with this machine. I was upgrading from a very basic espresso machine and was concerned about the difficulty of this machine based on other reviews. I watched the youtube tutorial for the machine, read the manual and had no problems with the machine. Is it more difficult to use than a regular drip machine? Of course. But the quality and simplicity of this machine makes it worth the maintenance.

I received a defective machine although I ordered and paid for a new machine. I went back and forth with Delonghi support for two weeks. They offered a replacement which I did not receive. They then emailed me and said they would send me a return label for the machine so they could fix it. We were able to unwrap it almost immediately and light it up for our first drink.
