A guest at my house commented on my "cool" cake tester so I ordered one for her, she loves it too. Sturdy and accurate, I prefer this tester to a knife (gap too big) or toothpick (too heavy to see the crumb/dough). Be sure to place the tester upside down in the vertical cutlery basket when washing it in the dishwasher, otherwise it may be damaged by the rotating mechanism of the dishwasher. Then, when disassembling the dishwasher, be careful not to prick yourself; Spouse is always the one who doesn't follow what they are doing, gets pushed 99% of the time and then blames me. But I digress. This is a wonderful, long lasting product.
