At first I was amazed when this tiny box showed up at the door and thought maybe there should be a second box but instead it was packed incredibly tight. Sorting through the pieces to make sure everything was there, I came across a chart that describes the normal proofing (snapping) of wood, and I particularly agree with solid pine. Then I noticed that it is mostly made out of plywood panels and only 4 posts are made out of solid pine. I may be picky about my pool equipment, but this stand will take some work before it will touch any of my cues. The bottom support for the cue has broken off where the plywood was drilled and is very rough. In addition, the through holes in the upper horizontal part, through which the cues have to be pulled out or inserted, are rougher than the witch's legs and are guaranteed to scratch the cues badly. In the end I am very disappointed that it is not solid pine as advertised and pine is not an expensive wood anyway. Plywood is not solid pine. Wouldn't recommend it.
