I make things out of steel. First I make drawings and sometimes I draw patterns on paper. Often these drawings contain parabolic curves and other fairly precise curves that I need to get right. This crooked ruler cannot be fully extended as it is bent for storage. Curves always have an overhang or two, otherwise the ruler won't be able to hold the curve the way I want it. I think my expectations are beyond the scope of this tool. Soon I will be using the French curves which I should have bought first. It is suitable for carpentry work and other types of discreet but not precise use. Don't try to use it for example for cabinets or other things that require precise bending.
