I have this to polish some of the resin artworks I have made. That being said, I'm not all that familiar with polishers and how they work. All I can say is that it works when you turn it on. The platter/disk spins when on, but unevenly, like it's wagging. I'm not sure if this is normal or normal for these polishers. Also, it was a bit difficult to press the button and remove the plate/disc. You have to move it (the washer) so you can hold down the knob to be able to unscrew it. The polishing pad feels a little flimsy in my opinion. This will work for my projects but I will be buying others. Not sure I would use these pads on a car as a novice user. In addition, the pad sheds a lot of fibers. It comes with a handle and has an adjustable speed as described. The polishing machine is not too heavy and is quite easy to handle.
