Review on MaxxHaul 70460 12V LED Trailer Tail Light - Left/Right, Turn/Stop/Signal - DOT Compliant (1 Pack) by Paul Barnes

The specs page says this model is waterproof. Not by chance! In one of the photos posted by another user you can see the hole that the wires go through. None of the lenses have seals. The lenses do not fit the lamp body with a tight tolerance. It's a sieve, trust me. The first set I ordered had a bulb with a broken main lens and a rattling part inside. There was a drop of sticky goo where the wires enter. Returned. There's no such crap in the second set. They were both sealed in bubble wrap so I assume I never received a return. I'll try to patch the holes and joints of the lenses and install them anyway. I will use them in salt water. I guess I'll treat them like disposable items. I think to disconnect the wiring harness before submerging (diving) to avoid blown fuses. My guess is that the board pins will be covered with salt water residue and shorted out anyway. I think it might be suitable for non-boat trailers. It would probably still be nice to put it all together.
