I am a professional home and personal chef and also teach cooking. I take all of my kitchen items, tools, utensils, knives, serving utensils, and other accessories very seriously, and when I test and review culinary items, I rate and evaluate them very critically and meticulously. My reviews are honest and unbiased. Good is good... bad is bad! I've tried many sushi utensils over the past few years. I'm always trying to find an efficient way for my cooking students to make authentic and well-prepared sushi. That's it! Simple and well made, with instructions both in the box and on the website. Along with a digital sushi cookbook to get you started. The wood it's made of works well and it's important to keep it wet during use so the rice doesn't stick together. The instructions are generally clear and this machine can make rice-in and rice-out sushi, as well as other Japanese-style sushi. Although this is a very simple device, it just works. Pipes or mechanical pressing systems are not required. It is easy to use and fully functional. The photo attached to this review is a spread I first made using Sushi Maker. Practice makes perfect and it's certainly not the best there is, but for the first time I'm IMPRESSED with the simplicity and performance. It gets my professional recommendation and a FIVE STAR rating. The price is fair and it can be a real asset to YOUR kitchen. Have fun! Make sushi today! Bon appetit!*If my review was helpful to you, please let Revain know by clicking the USEFUL button below!
