I am typically a size 7 and ordered that size. The first photo shows my daughter wearing them and you can see how much space she has around her calves. She is also a 7 but has a very narrow foot and said they fit well.In the second photo you can see they are snug around my calf. I would say I have normal to small calves so these would not be good for someone with larger calves.The boots are quite tight and narrow on my foot that is typically a normal width in most shoes. So if you have a wider foot, I would not recommend. However after wearing them for the day they did stretch and are now a comfortable, though snug, fit.The design was nice and the sole feels comfortable and the heel was the perfect height of cute and functional! It is a hard heel and does make the 'click' noise while walking if that is an important detail for you lol
