Review on Dorman 76855 Radio Knob: Perfectly Compatible with Mazda Models by Chris Nastanovich

perfect fit with correct assembly!

installed a pair of these on my 2003 Protege and they fit perfectly. I'm glad I read the other reviews so I knew I had to remove the old metal clip from the handle stem on the radio. When the old handle snapped, the metal insert separated from the plastic handle and stayed on the radio wave, so I grabbed a pair of needle-nosed pliers and pulled them out. After that, the new handles worked perfectly. They stick out a little further than the old ones, but that's probably because the old ones were broken and didn't fit anymore. I love how the new ones fit because now I can see the light behind them at night which I couldn't before. I've read some other reviews where buyers were frustrated when trying to remove a metal part from a new pen - DON'T DO THIS! The piece of metal to be removed is still on the radio knob shaft - the piece of metal that broke off the old knob! I definitely recommend this part, just read carefully and take advice from satisfied customers, not disappointed ones. ;-)

Pros
  • understandable even for the old ones
Cons
  • some little things
