Protects against the sun.
The tarpaulin seems to protect the bike from the sun very well, but in the morning when I open the bike, not only the tarpaulin but also my bike is wet. It doesn't seem to protect the bike from moisture, but it hasn't rained so I don't know if it will repel rainwater.
