I live in Arizona so I'm guessing the heat was too much for these items in the short time they've been in my mailbox. The plastic that the scented gel is glued to has warped a lot from the heat, so the little foam pad you were supposed to use to stick it to the underside of the bin lid (or wherever you choose to stick it) is useless in the slightest . I think I could always improvise and use duct tape, but I doubt I'll go that route because I can hardly smell them when they're up to my nose, they won't be effective even if I do. way to protect them.
