After repairing a damaged tweeter in one of the speakers I was sent out and Revain gave me a loan to replace the tweeters things started to get better. The tweeters are glued with hot glue. One broke during transport and died. I've replaced both speaker tweeters with 2 Dayton Audio ND20FA-6 3/4" neodymium dome tweeters. I've also added some acoustic fiberglass to improve the sound quality. These Acoustic Audio speakers actually use a simple 12dB L/ C crossover per octave on the tweeter which surprised me for the price. When I got back together I checked the sound quality.Overall not bad for the application I'm using them for (return channels for a home theater setup. They have a clean clear sound. Audio and sound smooth. The 300 watt power rating is way too high. I wouldn't use it at more than 40-50 watts RMS if you use it for network or loud music. If you want bass, use a subwoofer and cross these at 100Hz so they should last a long time.
