This bag suits my needs perfectly. I use this bag mainly for work (laptop/device transport and protection) and, occasionally, as a weekend work bag that can tote a laptop and some lightweight change of clothes. I researched and tested a near-dozen bags before settling on the Brenthaven Collins Convertible.Here's what I love about it:- The synthetic, vegan, PVC-free materials seem durable, resists drizzly rain and stains, and can be easily spot cleaned.- The bag physically stands up on its own and does not lean or topple over when empty or loaded up with gear.- The 2 padded shoulder straps are adjustable and can be be used backpack style.- Additionally, 1 or both shoulder straps can be securely tucked away, and the bag can be converted into a handbag carried by the 2 padded handles at the top.- The inside laptop and tablet compartments are sufficiently padded on the sides.- There are plenty of easily accessible pockets inside the bag and on the bag's exterior, some with zip or velcro closure.- There are 2, easily accessible side storage pockets (1 of which has a velcro closure)Here's what I'd like to see in the next generation of this bag:- More padding at the bottom of the laptop compartment (where the bag meets the ground)- A zipper closure at one of the side pockets to secure things like cell phone or keys- A dark brown or green color optionI understand that the price point can be an issue, but for my needs and lifestyle, I've finally found the perfect work bag.
