I was afraid to carry water this way because my shoulders are very tight. However, I have started training longer distances and wanted to try the vest as it comes highly recommended. It seems crazy to pay so much for such a small piece, but so far it's worth every penny. I wore the vest for an 11 mile run the day after delivery and I loved it! I wore a running jacket and a long-sleeved compression shirt. I got warm pretty quickly and had to take off the layer (which fit in my back pocket). But my hands had enough space. No clumping, binding or chafing. The sound of the water took a while to get used to, but it didn't move. The attention to detail is simply amazing: - Magnetic closure for bladder bite valve - Tiny internal pocket with closure for 1.5L bottle - Bottle design to reduce movement - Branded mesh side pockets - Zippered pocket for jacket or pants - Adjustable shoulder straps - Mesh lining - Roomy phone pocket with zip - stretch grocery pockets - front pockets for extra softflasks, I could go on and on. It's clear that Osprey actually uses the products they sell.
