I bought these mugs to combine with silicone sippy cup lids. As an alternative to normal training cups, I really liked the cups at first. My toddler who has downs took to them like a pro. They fit his smaller hands well and were light enough for him to handle with ease. Until one exploded. The cup barely fell 3 feet and shattered as if it were glass. The shards were everywhere, ranging in size from the smallest splinters to large chunks. Since then I've been very picky about where and when we use these mugs; and have made it their task to inspect the cups after use. Very disappointing as we have only had them for a few weeks.
