Review on Optimized X10 HR12A PalmPad Remote Control for Enhanced Searchability by Robert Gilbert

Nicely molded plastic product with rubberized buttons, works great. The remote measures 4.5 x 2.75 x 7/8 inches and weighs about 4 ounces. I use 4 AAA alkaline batteries that easily last more than a year. The left side of the remote has a clear removable plastic that covers the area where you can assign each button on the remote. With the remote control I control up to 16 devices on 2 separate circuit breakers. My house has about 1/2 household AC outlets on 1 breaker and another 1/2 household AC outlets on the second breaker. I have 2 transceiver modules (old model HC50RX). The transceiver and the remote control are set to house code A. This setup allows one remote control to easily control devices anywhere in my house, control lights, fans, etc. that are out of line in different rooms. I use the remote to control the X10 Powerhouse app mix. Connection Modules (AM466) and X10 Powerhouse Lamp Modules (LM-465). Since the price of the remote control was about 25% lower than other sellers, I bought 2 to keep one as a spare.
