Review on P21S 12705B Paintwork Cleanser Canister by Kyle Rodman

About 2 ounces of cleaner can clean an entire mid-size car, so this 5 liter container will definitely last you a while. I have used this product on four vehicles with varying results. I'm still learning how to use it properly but I want to share my first impressions as there is only one review of this product. First, despite claims to the contrary by the company and another reviewer, it leaves a white "print" on black surfaces. I found out about the white buildup on the first two machines because I was very generous with my detergent only to go back and spend extra time fixing the white buildup issue. On the other two machines I avoided the black trim which saved me a lot of time. It's not a true white paste residue that you might get with car wax, but it definitely leaves an unsightly white discoloration on black trim and rubber door weatherstrips. In addition, this product should not dry, since it is much more difficult to remove. It's easier to work in small areas and remove the cleaner after a few minutes before it dries. One of the cars I detailed had a very run down black finish. In my opinion, prior to using the clay bar and applying the P21S wax, the P21S cleaner acted as a shine enhancer. However, he could not remove any traces of the vortex. My first impression is that this cleaner is best used to prepare your car for waxing, but it's not a magic bullet. It's relatively easy to use, but you must be careful to let it dry before buffing or applying to a black finish. I believe it can act as a gloss enhancer on dark colors. I didn't see any improvement in swirl reduction, but the product didn't create any new swirls either. Note that you only apply it in two directions, not in a circular motion.
