You definitely get what you pay for and although they are pricey these sheets are definitely worth every penny. They're 100 percent cotton, so they appear thicker than your polyester blends, but to me that only adds to the fact that they already feel like they'll outlast polyester blends, which have always felt flimsy and cheap. An added benefit of these sheets are the elastic straps that help keep the sheets in place at the corners. They were easy to put on our king size mattress and our mattress is about 16 inches deep and has a 4 inch pad along with the mattress topper. I didn't have to struggle with the sheets at all! The bed sheet was large enough and comfortable. I have already washed these sheets per the instructions - in cold water and tumble dry on low heat. They come out of the dryer pretty shriveled. If you put the sheets straight onto the bed straight from the dryer, like I did, the creases disappear pretty quickly. I took a chance on buying two sets of these things at once and I'm glad I did. I couldn't be happier and will buy more when the time comes. I definitely recommend these sheets.
