5 stars for thickness and warmth LOL. So I bought this to put in my Gen 3 Firebird as the original cigarette was fried a long time ago. I took an outlet of the same size and melted an almost perfect hole on the console where I was going to install it. It's bigger than a cigarette hole so I figured installing it on a console in the easy access category was what I wanted to do. The LEDs are on all the time, so connecting to a KEY-ON power supply instead of an OEM battery is the way to go if you don't like dead batteries in the morning. Not that the LEDs used a lot of power, but they still reduced the parasitic consumption. The red glow is really cool and helps identify this sucker at night when the phone is low.
