I have two hair clippers - one to cut my own hair and the other to clip my dog. When a clipper starts to malfunction, you might be tempted to think the blades need sharpening. That's probably not true - the hair is too soft for dull steel blades. Most likely because you didn't grease them. If you don't oil the blades, they will clog quickly and work slower, snag your hair and cause unnecessary pain, and they won't cut well. Keep your blades oiled and your clippers run like new every time.
