The design is simply stunning

I wasn't initially thrilled with these reading glasses. In fact, they appear a bit flimsy and more understated than stylish. But after using them for a few months I don't think I will buy any other brand while they are in production. Fragility has proven to be a positive (read on), and unobtrusiveness isn't an issue if you value function over form. The optics are very good. If I look closely I notice some distortion, but that appears to be due to the pupillary distance being slightly offset. Unfortunately, my eyes are a little further apart than normal for reading glasses. The distortion can make my eyes feel more tired than usual after 3 or 4 hours of reading, but while I'm typing I don't take them off for about 5 hours and they still don't bother me. My readers are accessible because I can carry them in jean pockets, front or back. They don't fall out of a shirt pocket, they don't snag on a chain, and I don't accidentally leave them anywhere because my readers usually ride in the front pocket of their jeans next to my cell phones. The top of the frame is made of a thin, transparent, flexible material, the bridge of the nose is slightly flexible, the temples are very flexible. This flexibility seems to allow the glasses to hold their shape while still surviving in my jean pockets. However, I realized that I needed to use more common sense. I just ordered another pair because after a 16 mile hike and a couple of walks on the beach with my readers in the front pocket of the shorts the lenses were completely eaten away in a 1/2 inch spot in the middle of my field of view. Imagine your reading glasses slipping off your face as you look down and try to put a tiny screw back into another pair of reading glasses. I've never had that since I got these glasses. They are very light, the temples are a bit grippy and the nose piece fits me well so I rarely have to pick these glasses up again. They practically do not slip. These are also the first pair of reading glasses I own that don't require the occasional tightening of the screws. Finally, the bridge has a flat and wide shape that I can easily grab with my thumb and forefinger to remove or put on these glasses with one hand. I can take it off with one hand, fold it up and put it in my pocket. You can use them with one hand, but not that easily. All in all, these readers are fantastic. I highly recommend them.
